The Cardinal Club, first established in 1969, is the principal fundraising arm of Lamar Athletics. Made up of hundreds of enthusiastic and loyal supporters, the Cardinal Club supports each of the thirteen Lamar collegiate sports by providing funds primarily for student-athlete scholarship opportunities. Each year, Lamar Athletics awards nearly $1,000,000 in student athlete scholarships. Without the financial support of the Cardinal Club, many of those scholarship opportunities would not be available.
